Overstone Reopening Guidance

Version 2 of our Overstone reopening guide has now been published.  An Introduction for the Use Overstone Scout Campsite and Activity Centre for Face-to-Face Scouting – Amber.

The document gives details of what is available for use at Overstone from the 12th April, how many groups can use it and when. Please read the document carefully and ensure all Leaders are aware of the rules of Overstone whilst COVID restrictions still apply.

Further to the COVID information, please note the following: –

  • The site is planned to be closed during August and September due to major works and no bookings will be taken.
  • It is hoped that the site will reopen at the beginning of October. Bookings for the use of Overstone from this date including camping and residential activities can be requested via the booking secretary and will be entered in the diary as provisional subject to the completion of the major works scheduled for August and September as per the details in Bulletin 2 – Booking Information issued on the 6th March 2021.

Finally, based on a recent event at Overstone, please note: –

  • Overstone will not be open before the 12th April.
  • No individual, Group or Section is allowed on site without prior booking with the Overstone Booking Secretary.
