Network Scouts

Scout Network 18 – 25 years. The Scout Network is a unit who meet in a Scout District and have an interest in both Scouting and their own personal development.

They lead and organise their own activities. Members will become specialists in activities, take part in expeditions and major community projects and take part in schemes like the Queen’s Scout and Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards.

If you are aged 18-25 then you can join in with Northampton Network, membership is free.

The Scout Network Programme has been developed around three programme areas:

Adventure, International and Community.

As a member you can participate in the three programme areas by forming project teams, you can participate in as many projects as you like depending on your interests. As a member of the District Scout Network you create projects that are of interest to you and you shape your own Scouting.

Projects can be made available to others outside the District via the UK Scout Network, and you’ll also find projects that may be of interest to you… Developing your own interests and growing your Network

All projects will be supported by a project coordinator they will encourage members to participate as well as leading the projects that are of interest to members. Projects can be anything from a one off evening of Bivi Building to an Explorer Belt trip to Iceland but should fall into one of the three programme areas.

Participation in projects is strongly encouraged. Network can really be enhanced, by doing things that You want to do and run by You. Allowing other sections to aspire to have that freedom of choice

More details can be found by joining the Network Facebook Page facebook.com/groups/northamptonnetwork/ or by contacting the District Network Commissioner.
