Changes at Overstone

Overstone Scout Active Support Unit
We announced earlier in the year some changes we were making to the way we structure and run out assets. These changes included a move to a standardised Scout Active Support Unit (SASU) model for of our assets which would deliver a standard operating structure, managed by a SASU Manager and supported by a team responsible for the delivery of that Unit to the District. To enable this to happen the following changes are being made to Overstone.
- Malcolm Dyer will take on the role of Acting SASU Manager for Overstone until we are in a position to appoint a permanent SASU Manager
- In order to support the SASU Manager in carrying out their role, Overstone will continue to operate a Management Team (OMT) members of the OMT will all automatically be members of the SASU. The OMT will be managed by the SASU Manager and a Chair of the SASU.
- After 25 years in the role Dave Watts will stand down as Chair of the OMT from the end of December 2018, Dave will be replaced by Gary Jackson who will join the OMT as Deputy Chair until this time.
