CaveBus Arrives at Overstone

Date: 11th May 2019 Author: Gary Jackson

The CaveBus is an old decommissioned single decker bus that has been internally modified and refitted to simulate a tunneling system.

There is one continuous run of tunneling stretching approximately 350ft (three hundred and fifty feet) within the bus that runs from the front to the back returning to the front at differing levels.

Within the tunneling system there are twist and turns to either side as well as rises and falls, which creates a challenging experience to all users.

The CaveBus can be booked by contacting the Booking Secretary by email on bookings.overstone@northamptondistrictscouts.org.uk.

Prior to the date of the booking, the user will be given a code which will allow access to the shed in front of the bus. This shed will contain The User Instructions and Risk Assessment documnet, helmets, torches and keys to the CaveBus.

When the activity is finished the user should ensure the CaveBus is secure and the equipment, documents and keys are secure in the shed.
