Overstone – Tree Felling Update

Date: 5th Jul 2021 Author: Gary Jackson

Due to contractor requirements and availability the Tree Fellers are now on site at Overstone. They will be working Monday to Thursday from about 7:30am – 5:30pm

Up until the 16th July they will be cutting down trees north of the stream, but will be storing logs ready for removal from site at the edge of Oak Site. (Please see photos below). The site north of the stream remains out of bounds and it is imperative to remind everyone that Young People or Adult Volunteers should not enter this area for any reason.  There are trees that have taken down and lots of debris as well as heavy machinery. It is also important not to climb on the log piles that have been left next to Oak Camp Site.

The site will close to all from the 18th July to allow the contractors full access and it is hoped to reopen the site on the 1st October, providing it is safe to do so.
